DEBRA'S JOURNEY

I know that Coaching works because I have experienced the benefits myself. Through a combination of being personally Life Coached, Training in the JRNI Catalyst Coaching Intensive, the “Exploring You” series from the Enneagram Institute - and reading, thinking, and evolving on my own time – I have experienced the monumental shift and 're-birth' I was seeking. I am now cultivating that “more” I was longing for. I feel Renewed and have Reframed so many aspects of my life. Here's how I got there...

Before I even knew what Coaching was - I was a full time Independent Singer/Songwriter. I earned the title "The girl with the incredible voice" and was known for soulful live vocals. I won multiple international Songwriting Awards and Competitions, opened for major artists like Tower of Power, and Allen Stone, and also won “Best Female Artist” at the Portland Music Awards. My music has been featured in TV shows like CW's "Related" and E! "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and films like the Sundance Channel's "Clear Cut" documentary. A lot of cool and wild stuff happened - such as, I had lunch with Randy Jackson in L.A. where he told me he wanted to produce my music. Fun times. 

After getting married and having children I took a huge leap of faith (this is actually an incredible story about manifesting a miracle in my life -- more on that later!)  and I moved to a new state to launch a new business from scratch. I took great satisfaction in owning and operating a business that served the local community, provided for my family and gave me a sense of career freedom and success.

However, something wasn't right. I wasn't as happy, free, healthy or "alive" as I should have been. In fact, looking back, I would say I was definitely "NOT OK." I was stuck in cognitive distortion, harmful behaviors and predictable patterns that made me feel frustrated and hopeless - despite things "looking good" on the outside. And that's where Life took over...

The greatest gift that ever happened to me was, in the simplest of terms, my life completely FALLING APART. In the span of one year I lost my marriage, my business, my best friend, my home, my career hopes and my vision of a family life.  I have had to completely re-build my life from the ground up. It has been the hardest yet most rewarding journey of my lifetime. It is what led me to discovering the power and passion I have for Life Coaching. I long to walk along side others as they encounter obstacles, transformations, opportunities and dive deeper into self discovery and self realization. I have walked and continue to walk this path myself - and I wouldn't trade my journey for anything. I hope you consider allowing me to join you on your journey.
